Terms and Conditions

Payment and Cancellation:

All of our classes can be made online up to 48 hours prior to the class taking place.

Full prepayment is required at the time of booking. Bookings are non-refundable or transferable should cancellation occur unless we are able to resell the space. 

We reserve the right to cancel classes should we need to for any reason. We will do our best to cover classes in the event our chef is unable to teach and will give as much notice to you as we can.  A full refund will be offered in this circumstance. 

If you are using a gift voucher, bookings need to be made with the reservations team directly.

Health and Safety:

We recommend that you wear trousers and a long sleeved top and ideally wear comfortable flat shoes with a closed toe. A cookery school apron will be provided.

If you become ill within the 48 hours before your session with colds and flu, diarrhoea, vomiting and other infections we ask that you do not attend the class, this is to protect all of the participants as some of these illnesses can be spread through food.

If you have a pacemaker or similar medical device they should consult your doctor or the manufacturer of the pacemaker or similar medical device for additional information about its effects with electromagnetic fields from induction hobs before booking or attending a cookery class. 

At the start of the day, the tutor will give a health and safety briefing, you are to follow these guidelines and any other instructions given by the cookery school team for your own safety and the safety of others.

Those attending a cookery class at The Kitchen must be aged 18 years and over. Children aged 8 and over are permitted to attend our ‘Junior Chef’ classes. They must be able to reach and work at our workstations without the use of a stool or other object to raise them. All of our workstations are 900mm, the height of a standard kitchen surface. Please note children aged 8-11 are not permitted to attend a class for 12-17 year olds regardless of experience due to health and safety insurance.
